Meet me again and thanks for join me. Today i will share to you one of the best traditional recipe from Indonesia, orek tempeh. Actually this food is from Java inland, Indonesia and very traditional. This food is made from tempeh as main ingredient. Tempeh is food made from soy as main ingredient, so this food is healthy for you. Did you know tempeh ?, it is very famous Indonesian food, but today i see that this food is spread around the world. If you have traveled in Indonesia you would know this food.
Tempeh actually can been made in many kinds. We can fry it, make it orek tempeh, we can make it like fried chicken and make it soup. Orek tempeh in this moment, we will make tempeh as sauteed food.
Ingredients:
- 300 grams of tempeh, slice it small rectangle
- 3 cloves of garlic, slice it slim
- 3 spoons of hot soy sauce (try to get Indonesian soy sauce)
- 2 slices galangal
- 2 bay leafs
- 1 packet of chicken flavoring
- 1\2 tea spoon of sugar
- 1\4 ta spoon of salt
- 3 spoons of cooking oil
- 200 ml of water (1 glass)
- Heat cooking oil, then saute garlic until fragrant. Then insert galangal and bay leaf, wait until cooked
- Pour sliced tempeh, salt, flavoring, sugar and hot soy sauce
- Wait until seasonings becomes absorbed and dry out
